Location:
Trader Joes, 3888 Townsfair Way, Columbus,(at the Easton Town Center Mall). Meet on the sidewalk along Easton Way in front of TJ
Description:

THIS DEMONSTRATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED. TRADER JOE'S HAS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT IT WILL START CARRYING CAGE-FREE EGGS FOR ALL OF ITS STORE BRAND EGGS. READ MORE ABOUT THIS HUGE VICTORY FOR HENS HERE.

Trader Joe’s confines egg-laying hens in barren, wire “battery cages so small the birds can’t even spread their wings—let alone engage in nearly any other important natural behaviors, such as nesting, foraging, or even walking.

Understanding the cruelty of battery cages and wanting to reduce the suffering of countless hens, Whole Foods Market and Wild Oats Natural Marketplaces (Trader Joe’s two leading competitors) have decided to stop selling eggs from birds confined in tiny battery cages. Trader Joe’s continues to support this abusive practice.

Please join MFA in protesting Trader Joe’s abuse of egg-laying hens, and urging the company to adopt a compassionate cage-free policy. Signs, banners, and other materials will be provided.

Odd...

They said the exact same thing about Kroger in a pamphlet the passed out at ComFest.

Are you completely sure that you can trust Mercy for Animals and that they are not just making things up?

RE: Odd...

They (MFA) said the same exact thing because the majority of eggs in this country are produced in the same abusive manner.

Mercy For Animals has done four investigations into Ohio's largest egg farms, and each time has come out with more pictures and video of standard animal cruelty in the egg industry.

Please visit www.AnimalCrueltyCertified.com to find out more about Mercy For Animals' last investigation.
